After several years of successfully supplying our Super Comfort cow cubicles, we became aware of the need to make some modifications......WHY?......Having observed hundreds of units, we started to notice too many cows standing with their front feet on the cubicle bed and back feet out in the dung passage. This causes increased pressure on the tendons and feet. It also reduces lying down time which is essential for good milk production.

We noticed the neckrail did not allow the cow to stand up comfortably with all four feet on the bed......SOLUTION?......Raise the Neck Rail.

It was also noticed that when cows at grass got up from their lying down position, they would lunge their weight forward into the neck and shoulder with their head only a small distance from the ground. This action was hindered in the previous models of cubicles as the lower support rail was usually up to 300mm (12") from the ground......SOLUTION?......Reduce the height of the lower support rail.

We have now repositioned the lower support rail onto the cubicle floor. This has the added advantage of acting as a brisket rail and creates a very strong fixing.
